Dear Parents & Guardians:
We are writing this letter to respond to the recent inquiries if our school is operational and taking in kids. As mentioned in our prior letters and our FAQs relative to COVID-19, Just 4 Kids Preschool will remain operational and serve the public. We have called the County of San Bernardino and the California Child Care Licensing Office to get guidance on this matter. Both of these civil authorities deemed us as “Essential” and there are no orders, as of the moment, to close down childcare facilities.
As of this writing, there are about 20 parents in our care who are serving in the medical field. We also have children of employees of utility companies and other industries deemed essential by state and federal government. We are of service to these parents as well as to all of our existing families enrolled with us.
Two weeks ago, we have already put in place stringent and upgraded cleaning / sanitizing protocols to keep everyone in our care, our staff and all families enrolled with us. I want to refer you to our prior letters in our website’s Parent Corner to get a list of all the protocols we have put in place. Today, we are adding to these protocols & policies to further enhance the safety and well-being of everyone.
Do Not Come to School if You Are Sick
If your child is showing any possible COVID-19 symptoms (fever, cough, shortness of breath, aches, sore throat, diarrhea), or if you have any of these symptoms, please stay home! We are asking everyone to think of the health of the community as you decide whether to go to places where you are in close contact with others. If your child is sick, stay home. If you are sick, have a healthy adult take them to school. Ideally, if there is anyone in your home that is showing symptoms, all should stay home.
We are doing a wellness check for each dropped off child. You will be asked if anyone in the family is currently sick. If you answer in the affirmative, we will have to deny care for the day. You will be asked to initialize our wellness check sheet each day you drop off your kids.
We have added more FAQs in our Parent Corner page and be assured that we will communicate any changes to our FAQs & policies, should there be any.
