Child Care Tax Credits
The recently passed “American Rescue Plan Act of 2021” places a tremendous focus on childcare costs. It has enhanced the benefits available for families with children to help with the cost of childcare. Here is a simple breakdown of the new benefits. Take a look at how this program can work for you and your family:
- The Child and Dependent Care Tax Credit (CDCTC). This has been expanded to cover half of childcare costs up to $4,000 for one child and $8,000 for two or more children.
- Increasing the Child Tax Credit (CTC) to $3,000 for children between the ages of 6-16.
- Creation of a $3,600 tax credit for eligible children under six years of age.
A tax credit is more valuable than a tax deduction. The current “Child Care Tax Credit” is fully refundable this year. This means that it reduces taxes otherwise owed to zero and pays you a refund!
Child Care Subsidy Programs
If your family needs help with tuition, we partner with the Child Care Resource Center and TAD in San Bernardino County. Do you provide military / police discounts?
Yes, we do! We offer a 5% discount per family for all military and law enforcement. We also offer a discount for all non-active duty veterans.
